The World of Ferlan
Praise To Us, Forgotten and Pleased
This festival was held bicentennially in the elven encampment The Place Where Hope Ceases To Overcome. The exact historical origins aren’t properly known, but the year has been approximated to sometime in the pre-one thousands.
Praise To Us, Forgotten and Pleased began when The Settler was holding an inter-tribal meeting discussing potential trade between the camps and a thought occurred to him. He had finally achieved complete disassociation from the harsh, swiftly driven technologically advancing modern world. With the realization of this proud moment, and his coincidental meeting with the other scattered tribes’ elders, The Settler immediately summoned his tribesmen to prepare a feast for that evening. The other councilmen brought in their tribes and a joyous evening of dancing, singing, and feasting took place. Friendly sparring between the tribes to find out which fighting style they had developed was most proficient. All in all, it was always a fantastic festival. Until Taggy’s father arrived on that unfortunate day when he crashed the party.
Since the rogue slayed the elves during their festival, the festival designed to celebrate their complete alienation, the elders have banned the festival forever more. Some say that even the intertribal trafficking has ceased because of it.
